Sessions at the BBC’s famous Maida Vale studios for BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac and BBC Radio 2’s Jo Whiley.

By the time we made it to Maida Vale for the day of radio sessions, there was a strong sense of ‘last day of school’ in the air.

In purely calendar terms, it’d only been a few weeks since rehearsals starting. In terms of intensity though, we’ve probably all aged a good few years in the interim.

The mood, then, is positively buoyant with the prospect of a few days catching up on sleep and indeed – everyday life (sorry…). You’ll all have heard and maybe seen it for yourselves by now (and if not, why ever not?), so you’ll have felt for yourself just how cheery the band were. Time now for a bit of recovery before we re-assemble in a week or so for whatever’s next.
