Stuart Price (aka Thin White Duke) is a phenomenally talented chap. It’s unclear what prompted this remix – perhaps it was his work with Madonna, or maybe The Killers? Certainly the band were fans of both. They were clearly fans of what he did with their own music here, as he was asked back to remix Viva a few years later.

There had been remixes before, all the way back to the Yellow remix on the Mince Spies EP. This was perhaps the most dancefloor directed release so far though. Perhaps another early indication that the next album would seek to stretch beyond the confines of the indie straitjacket?

Whatever the answers to any of this – it’s a damn good slab of four to the floor.
