Even though The NME’S hotly tipped Terris (co)headlined the gig, it felt that everyone was there to see Coldplay. I’d seen them a few month’s earlier play 3rd on the bill to about 10 people and was by then absolutely obsessed with them. I bumped into Chris Martin afterwards on the way back from the loos and had a chat with him about their imminent first album. I remember him being very friendly.
