I heard “The Scientist” when I was ten on an airplane radio station. It was the first time music made me feel an emotion. I didn’t know how to find out who wrote/played it. I spent days trying to figure it out and listening to the radio (google wasn’t around yet). Finally, we were eating at Hard Rock Cafe in Rome and the music video came on the tv. I haven’t stopped listening since.
