I used to work with Chris’s auntie. True story. In 2000. In Newbury. She told me about this band her nephew was in and that they were really good. I didn’t really pay much notice but then suddenly Yellow was everywhere - especially on Radio 1 . Coldplay were the “next big thing”. And they were. And still are. A real “moment” in music. There was a solar eclipse that summer as well. An omen.
