Principality Stadium

As the only UK shows this year, it’s pretty inevitable that Cardiff will be a frenzy of guests, friends and family. No pressure then!

This local vibe reaches its peak on the C-stage when Jonny’s intro gets Chris’s voice in wrestle-mania-announcer mode as he booms “from Waaaaaaaaales!”. The cheers reach berserk levels and the grins widen accordingly.

There’s also another run for the Don’t Look Back In Anger sing-along moment.

There’s also a short burst of a Super Furry Animals tune on the C-stage eventually followed by the mother-of-all hometown tunes – the Welsh national anthem: Hen Wlad fy Nhadau. It’s sung this evening by Elin Hughes and James Jones.

If there was a member of the audience with a voice left by this point, they’ll have been sent home hoarse without a doubt….
