Perhaps it was the songwriter thing, perhaps he’s just a nicer bloke, but Noel didn’t follow Liam or Alan McGee in giving Coldplay the cold shoulder. Standing a few feet from him as he strummed through a Coldplay song must surely have been a somewhat unbelievable moment for Jonny and Chris. Certainly, telling them a few years earlier that they’d be doing this would have been met with a laugh.
The entire night, whilst having a serious theme, seems to have been a laugh. Noel and other guests busked their way (some more successfully than others) through a few tunes and a good time was had by all.
