There does seem to be a strange see-saw effect with Coldplay, the Brit Awards and the Grammys.
It’s very rare that both go well. If it’s a year when they’re in the running, generally one will be a great night, the other not so much. Evidently, in 2006, the winds were blowing such that The Brits was the better night for Coldplay.
It was a potent performance, plus they walked away with Best Album and Best Single.
